PNG Air - First Airline to Operate Commercial Flights into Tabubil

PNG AIR - FIRST AIRLINE TO OPERATE COMMERCIAL FLIGHT INTO TABUBIL.

Friday 26th June, saw PNG Air become the first airline to operate a Commercial flight into Tabubil since the port went into lockdown for the State of Emergency, early March.

Acting Chief Commercial Officer Nancy Nakikus said “We are pleased to be operating a full flight into Tabubil this morning, marking 21 out of 24 Domestic Destinations on RPT, Commercial Services. For now, flights to Tabubil will operate on a weekly basis every Monday, commencing 29th June. With the ease of restrictions, we are slowly starting to see an increase in passenger numbers on all Domestic Flights and hope to see remaining destinations become available soon”.

PNG Air will continue to operate in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to advice as per Pandemic Measures issued by the PNG Government to mitigate the risks in the spread against Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Passengers who choose to travel are required to complete Air Passenger Travel Forms prior to purchasing tickets for contact tracing purposes. PNG Air confirms; upon check-in and clearing security procedures, passengers will continue to be issued facemasks at boarding gate and are advised to wear these masks at all times during flight.
