Port Moresby General Hospital gets Facelift

Port Moresby General Hospital’s Chief Executive Officer Dr. Paki Molumi says in the next ten (10) years PMGH aims to provide the much needed health services that are now being sought overseas.

Dr. Molumi, while giving his Independence message, says the government is very committed to make PMGH attain its full level 7 tertiary services.

The premier hospital is undergoing major development including restructure of departments, construction of new laboratories and commissioning of new equipments as part of the hospital’s facelift.

Being the major referral Hospital in the country PMGH should only provide tertiary healthcare services, but at the moment it is providing primary and secondary healthcare services as well.

This, according to Dr. Molumi is the reason why the hospital is always overcrowding everyday.

The Hospital CEO encouraged the public to celebrate the 44th Independence in a peaceful way and look after their health.
