Police Hierarchy happy with City Bust Stop arrangement

POLICE Minister Bryan Kramer and the Police hierarchy have welcomed the new Gordons bus stop arrangements in the National Capital District.

Minister Kramer made this known when he accompanied acting Police Commissioner David Manning, acting Deputy Commissioner Operations Donald Yamasombi and the NCD Metropolitan Superintendent Perou N’Dranou to the launching of the Urban PMV Trial Routes at the Unagi Oval on Wednesday this week.

The new Urban PMV Trial Routes are divided into five (5) Zones as follows;

1. Urban PMV Route For Wildlife, ATS, 8 Mile, Bomana Areas
Bus Stop A - Drop-off and pick-up points only next to the Eda Ranu Office, Gordons area.

2. Urban PMV Route 4 & 13

Bus Stop B - Drop-off and pick-up points only opposite to the Diamond Club, Gordons area.

3. Urban PMV Route 6 & 17

Bus Stop C - Drop-off and pick-up points only within Gordons area. Opposite Digicel Headquarter and RH Trading, and continue onto Gordons circuit, exit to Gordons circuit again.

4. Urban PMV Route for Sogeri, Vanapa, Brown River, Laloki Bridge, Goldie

Bus Stop D - Drop-off and pick-up points only opposite Gordons Police station, Gordons area. Drive-in Geauta drive into Cobon street into bus stop. Exit from Vani place then onto Cobon Street then back to Geauta drive.

5. Urban PMV Route 7 & 15

Bus Stop D - Drop-off and pick-up points only within Gordons area. Gordons flats continue onto woodcock street, Gordons and exit to Spoonbill drive, Erima.

Chief Superintendent N’Dranou said the onus is now on the PMV operators, commuters and general public to strictly use the designated bus stops and follow traffic rules without causing traffic congestions and obstruction for the duration of the trial period.
