Laufa Trial Continues

Two more witnesses testified in court yesterday, in the trial into the death of the former Miss PNG, late Ruby-Anne Laufa.

This now brings the number of witnesses brought in by the State so far, to seven, since the trial commenced on Wednesdasy at the Waigani National Court.

Late Laufa is alleged to have fallen off a moving vehicle at the Fort Banner road at the University of Papua New Guinea, resulting in her death February 2017.

At the time of her death, it's alleged that she was with the suspect, Richard Namaliu.

The two who gave evidence yesterday are late Ruby-Anne's long time close friend, Hanley Logoso, and her father, Maurice Laufa.

The five others who also testified in favour of state lawyers included three residents of Fort Banner residential area, and two members of the Uniforce Security.

The trial is adjourned to today.
