COLGATE MUM YOU FIRST CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED

The Colgate’ mum you first campaign’ was launched today at the Gerehu General Hospital, Port Moresby with the aim of motivating mothers to be influential role model to their children.

John Wood, the General Manager for Colgate Palmolive said with this campaign Colgate now reaches mothers and caregivers of children as young as 18 months old to introduce good oral practices to their children as early as possible, which also complements the well baby campaign and wellness concept of the National Department of Health.

PNG’s First Lady, Linda Babao- O’Neil also present at the event encouraged mothers, saying they are children’s first teachers and they shape the way the children will act for the rest of their lives.

‘’So mum you first, you are the first teacher for your children and you are responsible for their good habit of making sure that they have clean healthy teeth,” she said.

This campaign also complements the bright smile bright future campaign, where today 7000 Colgate starter kits were distributed to health clinics in Port Moresby and additional 5000 kits to be distributed to 20 urban clinics and hospital around the country. PNGFM/ONEPNG
