Female Police Officer involved in filming Police brutality on Young woman out on bail

The female police officer charged for taking video of the Condom Saga today reappeared in the District Court at Waigani requesting Bail.

Chief Magistrate Cosmas Bidar granted the defendant Jacklyn Tanda K1000 Bail Before Conviction under section 22 (b) of the constitution which states a person is innocent until proven guilty.

Although the Police had found her guilty of two more charges which was willfully doing indecent act under section 227 (1)(b) of the criminal act and deprivation of personal liberty under section 355, the defendant was granted bail under conditions that she remains at Morata Police Barracks while the investigations into the case is seen through and that she reports to the courts once in a government fortnight week Friday between 9am-3pm.

Ms Tanda will reappear in court for a further hearing on the 15th February 2016. PNGFM
