MOU FOR RELOCATION OF NAVAL BASE

The PNG Defence Force today signed a Memorandum Of Agreement with the Kumul Consolidated Holdings Ltd about the relocation of the Basilisk Naval Base from Harbour City to Motukea Island.
The signing was done by Brigadier General for the PNGDF Gilbert Toropo and Mr Garry Hersey Managing Director for Kumul Consolidated Holdings Ltd.
Mr Garry Hersey confirmed that the valuing process is currently being done on how much this project is to cost but it would be expected to be completed shortly but they had already had Cramer and Ausenco Ltd as the master planner for the project.
Mr Hersey also said that the plan was to have this project completed before the 2018 APEC Summit.
