PNG ELECTORAL COMMISSION SAY IT IS READY FOR BOUGAINVILLE's REFERENDUM

Results in Bougainville's upcoming referendum on independence from Papua New Guinea will be delivered in just one announcement.
The two-week polling period for the non-binding referendum begins next weekend.
The verification, scrutiny and count process is to begin at the Count Centre in Buka once polling closes on December 7th.
The Bougainville Referendum Commission's chairman, Bertie Ahern, says the vote would be delivered to the highest of international electoral standards.
He said given the need to deliver a clear and credible process, a running tally of votes would not be provided, in order to avoid confusion.
Mr Ahern said the commission hopes to conclude counting well before the final date for the return of the writ on December 20th.
Meantime, the PNG Electoral Commission said it stands ready to help the Bougainville Referendum Commission deliver a fair and credible referendum vote.
Polling commences in Bougainville next Saturday November 23rd.
There'll also be polling in the National Capital District, Central Province, Madang, Morobe and East New Britain on the same day.
The rest of mainland Papua New Guinea will start polling on Monday November 25th, at respective provincial Electoral Commission offices.
The electoral commissioner's delegate, John Kalamoroh, gave this assurance during a one-day training of election managers, assistant election managers and presiding officers.
