PNG Prime Minister Marape to meet Logging Companies

Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape revealed in his visit to Manus that he will be meeting with the people in the logging business next week Wednesday.

Mr. Marape plans to talk to them about processing timber in the country.

He says he understand this may upset owners of logging businesses but it is time to start downstream processing.

Meanwhile, he says the government will work on some laws that will change the way they manage and carry out work in the country.

He says this country has all the resources in the world yet poverty, lack of education, employment is rife among us.
