Mother calls for Justice into Son's Murder

The Mother of a university student who was murdered at the Lae Bowling Club last September, has called for justice into his son’s death.

Magie Palme of Chimbu Province, made her appealed this morning, while receiving her Late son, Felix Palme’s, Post-Humous degree award at the University of Technology in Lae.

Magie Palme a single mother from Chimbu Province travelled into Lae and was at the Taraka campus, this morning to receive her son’s Bachelors Degree Award.

She refused the invitation to attend the recent Unitech graduation ceremomy earlier this year, finding it painful and unbearable for herself the family.

Magie’s son, Felix in his late 20s, was allegedly attacked after a student fundraising dance at Lae Bowling club last September.

He was admitted in hospital and died a day after his attack, and about five months before his graduation.

Felix, who was in his final year as a Mechanical Engineering student, left behind his mom and a small sister.

His academic award would be kept as her mother’s souvenir and her sister’s challenge and inspiration to aim higher and achieve academically and in life.  NBC news/ One PNG
