South Bougainville MP, Timothy Masiu commends Buin Secondary School

MEMBER for South Bougainville, Timothy Masiu has commended Buin Secondary School on its rating as one of the top five academic performing secondary schools in Papua New Guinea.
The National Department of Education in early January announced that Buin Secondary School was one of the top five performing secondary schools, outsmarting the more prominent and higher institutions in the country like the national high schools.
Member Masiu relayed his commendation in an official letter to the school principal, Tony Malamo which says in part: “…..I write to place on record my sincere and heartfelt commendation to your administration, your board of management and your staff for the excellent and hard work you have all put that elevated Buin Secondary to recognized as one of the top five performing secondary schools in the country.”
Mr Masiu said the recognition speaks volume of the way Mr Malamo, as head of the school, his teaching staff and the board have worked hard during 2017 academic year to achieve a high academic performance by students.
He said that as the mandated leader of the people of South Bougainville, he was proud of the school’s achievement, as it gave him confidence that all schools, let alone Buin Secondary, were striving to give the best education for the future generation.
Me Masiu said he was hopeful of receiving more such good news in the coming years. New Dawn FM
