Two more suspects captured in K1.2 m heist

Two suspects involved in the K1.2 million Robbery at the Jacksons Airport in Port Moresby were captured in Rabaul this morning.

Kokopo Police Station Commander, Inspector Edward Gigi confirmed that suspects Alphonse Lance Moha from Siassi Morobe province and Dermott Vekinap from Ambunti East Sepik province are both in Kokopo police cell waiting to be transferred to Port Moresby.
Inspector Gigi said both suspects were captured in a combined Correctional Service and Police Christmas and New Year Operation.

“The first suspect Dermott Vekinap was spotted in a PMV bus when h e was captured then we asked him to direct us to his counterpart Alphonse Lance Moha’s location, which he did and we found Alphonse sleeping in a house when we caught him” said Inspector Gigi.
He said arrangements have already been made by the ENB Provincial Police Commander for the suspects to be transferred to Port Moresby as soon as possible for investigations to proceed into the million Kina robbery.
