PNG Hunters vs CQ Capras match live on Channel 9

The SP PNG Hunters are set for round 11 Intrust Super match against Central Queensland Capras this afternoon. Channel 9 will telecast the  match live from Brown Park at 1 pm this afternoon.

Twelve of the Hunters players are backing up from the Pacific Test where Kumuls displayed a stunning win over Fiji.  The Hunters are placed second on the ladder while the CQ Capras placed eight .

Head coach Michael Marum says the test match is now in the past, the team has had a chance to recharge the batteries and now want to deliver a top performance.

"Some boys had a good two-week break. We (who were involved in the Kumuls squad) got back in at the end of the week and started preparing for the Capras game. Our focus is on the Hunters and making sure we maintain our spot in the top six and hopefully play in the semi finals again."

Gahuna Silas won't feature for this match after being suspended from the Hunters camp and further training for failing to maintain the values expected of the playing group.

Meanwhile  this game will be the 50th appearance for Hunters co-captain Noel Zeming.
