PACIFIC GAMES 2015 WILL BE DRUG FREE: TKATCHENKO

PNG Sports Minister Justin TKATCHENKO says  the Pacific Games 2015 in Port Moresby will remain DRUG FREE, with athletes to undergo random testing to ensure no drugs are being to boost performance.
This will be in line with the International Doping Criteria, which will allow for athletes to be tested at any time during the progress of the games.
“ We will not tolerate any enhancing performing drugs, being used by any athlete,” says the Minister.
The Minister says there must be a level playing field of fairness during the games.
“ You must go to the Pacific Games on your natural ability and not with the help of drugs,” he adds.
There will be a full cross check of athletes during the games to ensure that those who wish to breach this vital rule.
