Airlines PNG fleet boosted with addition of new Dash - 8 aircraft

Airlines PNG have today advised that the latest addition to the fleet has been successfully inducted and has commenced service with the airline.

The airline has taken delivery of a Dash-8 (Registration P2-MCY) aircraft which brings the total fleet up to 14 aircraft.

"With the additional aircraft coming on line we have been able to expand our network and have commenced services to Buka and Kavieng which are new ports for the airline." said Paul Abbot Chief Commercial Officer Airlines PNG.

"In addition we have introduced new services linking existing ports which have been done in response to customer demand"

These services include flights linking;

Lae, Kokopo, Buka and Kavieng
Lae to and from Alotau
Port Moresby, Kimbe and Madang
Goroka, Lae, Mt Hagen and Tabubil
"The Airlines PNG network is very much built around customer demand and feedback from the market has been very positive about these additional services" continued Paul Abbot.
