PNG continues to lead in the medal tally in the Mini Pacific Games in Wallis and Futuna

PNG junior weight-lifter, Steven Kari has set a new Pacific Games record in the 95 kilograms division.

Kari lifted a total of 190 kilograms in the snatch, beating Samoa and Tonga.

Two female lifters, Sandra Ako in the 75 kilograms, clean and jerk took out the bronze medal and Lorraine Harry also took bronze in the 90 kilograms division.

In volley ball, PNG beat Wallis and Futuna in the womens division, while the men beat Vanuatu.

In Athletics, 1500 meter mens event, Andipas Georasi got a bronze, while in the womens division, Poro Gahekave got Gold and Jenny Albert a Silver medal.

PNG continues to lead in the medal tally on Day 3 of the Games, bagging 17 gold, 12 silvers and 17 bronze, while New Caledonia has moved up second from third place, with 11 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze and Tahiti on third place with 10 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.
