Port Moresby's New City Hall Contract formalized

The construction of a new Port Moresby City Hall was formalized at the current City Hall by NCD Governor Powes Parkop and successful contractor China Railway Construction.

The current city hall has been the headquarters for the National Capital District Commission for the last 36 years.
Over the years, the Commission had been forced to move a few divisions out of city hall and the scattered arrangement has not been good for efficient service delivery.

Acting City Manager Leslie Alu was glad the modernisation approach by the NCDC Board and Management was taking a further step.
