Port Moresby Police Return Lost Child to Parents at Morata

A child who was reportedly lost at Boroko in Port Moresby and taken into the care of police was safely returned to her parents at Morata this afternoon.
The child was wandering about at Tabari place in Boroko without the care of a parent or guardian when she was presumably lost and taken to the 4 Mile Traffic Police Station today.

Senior Constable James Nare attached to NCD Traffic Unit at 4 Mile took the child into his care and the parents were eventually located at Morata settlement.

She told police, her name is Phenaia Thomas and her mum is Georgina. She said they are from the Western Highlands Province. She was found near the Brian Bell shopping Plaza and taken to 4 Mile Traffic Office.
We thank everyone who assisted us in locating Phenaia's parents.
