PINA CALLS FOR ROUND TABLE MEETING OVER EMTV SACKING


The Pacific Islands News Agency, PINA, is urging all parties involved in the reported termination of EMTV News and Current Affairs Manager, Neville Choi, to quickly meet to resolve the matter.


PINA President and National Broadcasting Corporation Managing Director, Kora Nou, said this when releasing a statement on behalf of the Association today.

Mr Nou said he has personally spoken to all the parties separately, and wants a quick meeting to resolve the matter.

Mr Nou has even volunteered to chair the meeting.

He said while each party will have its story to tell, he wants the EMTV management to ensure its flagship TV program, the nightly news bulletin goes to air unhindered for its dedicated viewers and clients

Mr Nou also said the PINA will be issuing another statement over the weekend on the outcome of the proposed meeting.
