3 suspects rape two girls in Choiseul , Solomon Islands
Solomon Islands Police at Taro in Choiseul Province are investigating a rape incident occurred on 9 July 2018 at Vanga village in South Choiseul.
Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Choiseul Province, Superintendent Vincent Eria says, “The alleged rape incident happen when the two victims return from a fundraising. On their way back the trio pulled both females and a suspect raped one of the victim.”
PPC Eria says, “Another victim struggle with another suspect somehow call for help and some group of boys intervene and take her out from the suspect.”
Mr Eria says, “It is a sad incident should not happen in our communities. Parents and guardians do look after our children. When they move around make sure send someone to accompany them.”
“The suspects still at large and I appeal to the people of Vanga village to assist my police officers with their information. I call on both parties this incident involved to refrain from taking the laws in to your own hands while investigation continue on,” says PPC Eria.
