Solomon Islands Police search for missing Asian man east of Honiara
Police at Henderson Police Station and members of public at Lungga area are currently searching for a missing Asian man at the Lungga River since yesterday (13 May 2018) evening.
“It is alleged that an Asian man from the Philippines went fishing yesterday evening at the mouth of Lungga River east of Honiara between 6pm to 7pm with two other colleagues when he went missing,” says Superintendent Nixon Manetoga, Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Guadalcanal Province.
“The missing man is believed to be employed by the Winlex International Solomon Islands Company Ltd and police are investigating into the matter,” says PPC Manetoga.
“I appeal to the people living around the Lungga River area and along the coast line to come forward to police with information regarding the report to assist with the investigation.
