Digicel Launches PNG’s first Games and Entertainment App


Digicel is excited to be the first PNG telecommunication provider to launch Funzone, an app that gives its customers access to the latest news music, games and entertainment.

Launched on Friday 18 November 2016, Digicel’s Funzone gives customers a one stop shop for all their mobile and entertainment needs from music, both local and international news to high definition entertainment.

Customers who use the app will also be able to find information on Digicel’s latest products, services and promotions as well as have access to Digicel’s Online Top Up page, allowing them to check their account and top up their phone account with ease.

Digicel PNG CEO, Brett Goschen, said Digicel is thrilled to partner with NewComLive to introduce an app that not only creates excitement for its customers but is also simple and easy to use.

“We are dedicated to continually adding value to our products and services across the country,” he said.

“What better way to ensuring our customers enjoy using their phones than to provide them with an app that gives them access to their favourite games and entertainment.

Other Funzone app features include Voice, which will direct customers to Magic Voice and Lotu Line as well as Club, a Digicel Play initiative that provides the best in television entertainment straight from your smartphone. A Commerce category ensures those interested in finance and economic issues are kept up to date in real time.

Digicel smartphone users can download the app for free from Google Play Store.
