ANZ appoints Rufus Pinto as Country Head Vanuatu & New Caledonia

ANZ today announced Rufus Pinto as Country Head ANZ Vanuatu and New Caledonia, reporting to ANZ Regional Executive Pacific, Tessa Price.

Pinto transitions from his previous role as CEO for ANZ Kiribati, a role he held for the last three years.

“Mr Pinto is an experienced banker with a career spanning over 15 years in banking and financial services in India, Australia and the Pacific, and I’m thrilled to have him on board in Vanuatu,” said Price.

Pinto has worked across various banking areas over the course of his career, including Retail, Commercial, Private and Corporate/Institutional.

Price added: “Mr Pinto is also passionate about helping our people and communities prosper, which is a vital ingredient in our Pacific markets.”

Pinto also has oversight responsibility over ANZ Kiribati.

Pinto replaces Charles Rickey who concludes his tenure this month and will be returning home to Australia.
