PNG Hunters name Team for round 12 against Ipswich Jets

The SP PNG Hunters team  for round 12 against defending Champions Ipswich Jets has been announced. The Hunters will be looking to avoid another humiliation this time from the Jets. The Hunters were beaten by CQ Capras last week.   Coach Michael Marum has recalled star winger Justin Olam to his 20-man extended squad . Olam missed last weekend’s match against the Central Queensland Capras as he was down with dengue fever.

Regular starting prop Esau Siune is still working his way back to full fitness and was not included which sees Kumul back-rower Timothy Lomai transition to the front-row.
Lomai has had a remarkable six weeks of football since returning to the Hunters side in the Round 6 match against the Townsville Blackhawks.

The 105kg forward, who worked his way to a starting spot in the back-row and then earned selection into the Kumuls for the Pacific Test against Fiji, now moves into the thick of the action being preferred to Maki, who started last week.
Lae Tigers recruit Ishmael Balkawa returns to the back-row while Tuvi Lepan and Philemon Kimisive are both part of an extended seven-man bench.
Kimisive has played the last five weekends for the Goroka Lahanis being used on the wing and in the forwards.

Lepan makes a welcomed return after playing for the Agmark Gurias over the past four weekends as well.
Young half back Watson Boas is still out with shoulder injury sustained during the Test against the Fiji Bati on May 6.
