Pisimi murderer sentenced to 30 years in prison
The Police officer who shot dead Moanna Pisimi in Lae city early this year has been imprisoned for 30 years. Justice Frazer of Lae National Court found Officer Jack Baria guilty of murdering Moanna Pisimi.
Pisimi a mother of two was shot in the back of the head as her car was pursued along the back road of Lae City in the New Year.
Baria, 45, holds the rank of First Constable with the RPNGC, was charged by police with wilful murder early this year for the death of Moana Pisimi.
Baria will serve his sentence at the Buimo Prison facility.
