Juffa commends PM O'Neill for National Security

The Governor of Northern province has commended Prime Minister Peter O'Neill, for reviewing and developing Papua New Guinea's National Security Policy.

In a live interview with NBC's National Radio Morning Tru show, Gary Juffa, said the policy must have resources attached to it to make it work.

Mr Juffa said existing legislation have to be examined to determine whether or not to improve them and what other legislation have been put in place. .

He stressed that we cannot have laws that are outdated rather we need laws that are modernized and relevant for today.

Mr Juffa said that there should always be a potion of budget given to intelligence work and be secured through national policy, which is the only way we can protect our people.
