Tkatchenko praises Parkop for changing Port Moresby

MORESBY South MP Justin Tkatchenko has commended National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop for transforming Port Moresby city in just three years.
“No previous governor has changed Port Moresby like what Powes Parkop is doing,” Tkatchenko said.
He also thanked Prime Minister Peter O’Neill for the investment in the city and the country by the Government.
“No previous government had changed the city and country in just three years like what Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and his Government have done,” he said.
He said the signing of a contract last Friday for the construction of the Taurama by-pass road to the Magi Highway was great news for the people of Taurama and Moresby South.
“People at Taurama Barracks and Taurama Valley have been crying for a long time for their road to be fixed.”
He thanked Parkop for putting water utilities like water mains at sections of the road at 6-Mile for Eda Ranu to connect water.
Tkatchenko said people would be able to access safe and clean water.
He said he was happy to have a good working partnership with Parkop.
“Through the good partnership we have, Moresby South people are receiving services they never had before,” he said.
“And it’s not finished yet. As long as our relationship lasts and if we continue to be in parliament, we will continue to deliver services to improve our city.”
Tkatchenko said he was appealing to the residents and visitors of the city to appreciate the developments and look after them so that will last long to benefit the future.
