ABG President Momis calls for respect

The ABG government and the people of Bougainville have been called on to respect those who lost their lives during the Bougainville crisis.

In making the call, ABG President, Hon. Dr. Chief John Momis said out of the more than 20,000 who lost their lives, many are still accounted for and were not accorded decent burials.

The president said these people must be respected and his government has pledged to set up a memorial place where the names of these can be written for other to see when they come together to pay their tribute to them.

He also hinted on the establishment of a Fund to cater for this idea in the future adding that people are not animals to be forgotten just like this, but human beings and must be respected and given proper burials.
