MIXED RESULTS FOR PNG BARRAMUNDIS IN WARM UP MATCHES

The PNG Barramundis have produced mixed results on day 2 of their two friendly warm up matches against Gloucestershire 2nd XI County Cricket Club Team yesterday in Bristol, England.
In the first match, PNG Barramundis won the toss and elected to field. Gloucestershire came into the match strongly with Callum Loud scoring 109 runs to assist his team to 231 runs off their allocated 20 overs. John Boga Reva (4/27) and Loa Nou (2/37) were the best bowlers for PNG Barramundis.
PNG Barramundis replied through Mahuru Dai top scoring with 60 runs while Callum Gregory (5/40) was the outstanding on the bowling attack for Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire’s strong bowling attack limited the PNG Barramundis and saw them win by by 35 runs.
In the second match PNG Barramundis won the toss and elected to bat, with Vani Vagi Morea (137) putting on an outstanding batting performance with Tony Ura (91) assisting as well. Ollie Curril (2/52) was the best bowler for Gloucestershire.
Gloucestershire replied strongly through George Hankins (80) however could not cope with PNG Barramundis bowling attack. Assad Vala (3/50), Pipi Raho and Sese Bau took two wickets each to set up the PNG Barramundis to win by 57 runs.
The matches are warm up matches as preparation for the ICC World T20 Qualifiers which PNG Barramundis will take part in Ireland and Scotland from the 12th to the 19th of July.
