OIL SEARCH PACIFIC GAMES BATON RELAY IN PORT MORESBY

Its finally here, the Oil Search Pacific Games Baton Relay is now in Port Moresby for the final leg before the official start of the Pacific Games this Saturday.

The baton started- off for the 100 days relay around the country back on the 27th of March in Port Moresby and now it’s back to finish it off.

National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop when receiving the baton, called on the city residents to come and support the relay as it makes its way around the city.

The relay will involve school children as well as people from all works of life. It will officially start this afternoon at 2pm and it makes its way through the Motu- Koitabu villages.

The baton was brought on the traditional Motu Lagatoi "Kiserebada" carried by Central Governor, Kila Haoda and Kairuku- Hiri MP, Peter Iso Aimo.

Present at the Ceremony was Oil Search Executive General Manager, Gerea Aopi, Motu- Koitabu Council President, Miria Ikupu and other delegates.
