Teen shot with 'wire' catapult
A 17 years old boy for Kimbe, West New Britain was shot with a “wire” catapult through his left side abdomen by his friend on Thursday night and was rushed to the Kimbe General Hospital.
The metal spear used on the catapult cut through his abdomen and went through his intestines.
Sr Dorothy Lakame from the Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Section said the boy undergoes an urgent operation yesterday and had the metal removed from his intestines.
Sr Lakame said the boy is now nursing his operation abrasion at the hospital’s surgical ward.
