Big fight in Digicel cup match in Mt Hagen

The Digicel Cup match between the Kundiawa TNA Lions and the Mt Hagen Eagles went down to the wire as both teams were tied 26 all when in the dying minute Lions scored a try in the 79th minute of the match.
As the full time siren sounded a huge fight broke out amongst the players in the field which was started by Hagen Eagles players.
It was not known what was the cause of the fight but some Lions players were seen on the field with bloody face. In the commotion, a Lions player tried to grab a gun off a police officer and fired at the Eagles players but luckily the policeman shrugged him off and the situation was under control by the police.
The supporters were well behaved and did not join in the fight as they watched with confused feelings.
Many rugby fans expressed disgust from the manner the Hagen Eagles showed saying it was not how sportsman should behave and they say this clearly shows that our players have not developed in the game of rugby league. PNGFM
