Pulsan breaks record in Power Lifting

Two years of hard work has paid off for female P-N-G Power Lifter from Manus, Linda Pulsan, who won gold in the 72 kilogram Open Women's Division, during the recent Championship and Pacific Games selection trials in Port Moresby.
Pulsan broke three records for the Squat, 190 kilograms, Bench Press 102 kilograms and dead lifts, 192 kilograms, for a total 487 kilograms to bag the gold.
The Manus lass is now focusing her training on gaining a spot in the P-N-G Power Lifting team for the Pacific Games.
Pulsan also coached the Manus team to the P-N-G Games in Lae, Morobe province.
Other gold lifts came from Morobe's Stella Luke, in the 63 kilogram division, Dobie Mea in the 52 kilogram, making a come-back after a two-year absence, N-C-D's Mary Peto in the 57 Kilogram and colleague, Hitolo Kevau in the 47 kilogram division.
