GULF POLICE STEP UP OPERATION

Gulf Police will step up operations this year, by extending these to the province's major highway and waters, for the public and investment users travel safety.

Provincial Police Commander, Chief Inspector, Lincoln Gerari, says he will be talking with Governor Havila Kavo and his Provincial Government, to make sure this is put in place.

Chief Inspector Gerari says, they are considering setting up a Highway Patrol Unit and purchase boats to police the waters.

He states, Gulf is gearing up for major economic developments and they will be taking the lead, to ensure access into the province by road or sea is safe for investors, as well as the general public.

Meantime, Mr. Gerari thanked people in the province for a peaceful Christmas and New Year.

Gulf recorded no major incidents during the festive season, a first in many years.
