PNG PM in Israel

PNG PM, Peter O'neill 
Prime Minister Peter O' Neil anticipates pleasing results, after holding high level bilateral discussions with his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Mr. O' Neil arrived to a red carpet welcome in Israel's capital, Tel Aviv, on Sunday, starting his official state visit to the Holy Land.

Mr. O' Neil among other things conveyed P-N-G's interest in establishing a diplomatic mission in Tel Aviv, to further enhance and strengthen existing bilateral relations and planned programmes, during the bilateral talks with Mr. Netanyahu. 

Other agendas discussed also include utilizing Israel's expertise in agriculture, defence, security and communications. 

He told the Israeli Prime Minister, his government aims to draw on Israel's expertise and experience in these capacities, mainly to introduce compulsory national services to the young people of P-N-G. 

He says Israel offers a great deal of expertise in his government's plan to develop and instill a culture of discipline and security in the minds of our growing, young population.

The Prime Minister adds, P-N-G wants to use Israel's agriculture knowledge and expertise in Hela and the National Capital District.

Mr. O' Neil is accompanied by Ministers for Foreign Affairs, Rimbink Pato, Agriculture and Livestock, Tommy Tomscoll and Defence, Dr. Fabian Pok.
