PNG bids to host Asia Pacific Economics Communities APEC meeting
Papua New Guinea is bidding to host the Asia Pacific Economic Communities or APEC meeting in Port Moresby, in 2018.
P-N-G is a member of APEC, but has not yet hosted a meeting.
Prime Minister Peter O'Neill said this at the recent ground breaking ceremony, for the multi-million Kina new City Hall in Port Moresby.
O'Neill says, he wants P-N-G to use the opportunity to showcase itself as a investment destination, to the other 20 APEC countries.
