Buang President Elect Sam Sakai has died  in a nasty car accident
Buang President Elect Late Sam Sakai  has died in a tragic car accident  in Lae.  Late Sam was driving an  ambulance trying to save another accident victim from the Gabansis/Mumeng Road.
The ambulance he was driving hit a pot hole and tipped over into the drain killing him instantly while other passengers sustained injuries. The incident happened at nine mile outside Lae City.

Sam Basil the local MP is saddened by the loss of this upcoming leader.
“It is a very sad day for us all, the news came as a shock especially to the Buang people and the LLG administration. Sam Sakai was very active in delivering service despite not being sworn into Tutumang assembly yet. He took ownership of the LLG bull dozer and started maintaining the Buang road, He called me twice and I delivered fuel and support. That's what I needed from a president, a proactive operator to work hand in hand with me in delivering services, the Buang people delivered him but his sudden departure comes as a shock and is still to this minute. My Late President Sakai we will all miss you, your short time with us shows that another four years eight months our combined effort would have made a lot of difference in what we believe in”.

Out of my six presidents we lost one.
