PNG Residents win Cabramatta International Nines Cup

PNG residents celebrate the win of Wests Illawarra
The PNG Residents defeated Wests Illawarra for the first time to claim the Cabramatta International Nines Cup. PNG went into the game as underdogs but clenched on with solid defence  to win the cup.

PNG residents were first to score and led 6 nil at the break. However  Wests fought back hard and scored unconverted try 5 minutes from full time.  The game  intensified with hard tackles and big with  residents maintaining narrow lead of 6 points to  4 

PNG sealed the game right on full time through  Thomson Teteh.  

In other games, PNG development went down to much experienced side Cambramatta 24 -8 score.
