IT’S WHEN YOU DON’T NEED MONEY THAT YOU CAN SERVE

People go to work because they need money. For most workers, money is the only motivation for them getting up every working day. The pay cheque is the magnet that attracts them. At the bottom of their hearts they hate the jobs. But they need to work, because if they don’t, they won’t eat.

When I say that a business can enable you to retire early, I don’t mean that you must resign from your job. You can if you want to, but you don’t have to. You can still go to work, but when you have a business that makes money for you, money will not be the sole reason for you going to work. You go to work because you want to, not because you need to. You go to work for reasons other than the pay cheque.

For instance, you don’t need money but you still go to work because you like the atmosphere in the office, or the job provides you the opportunity to meet different people, or you realize that the job enables you to make a contribution to society with your set of skills, knowledge and expertise.

In other words, it is the job that gives you the satisfaction, not money. You don’t care if the employer cuts your pay or doesn’t acknowledge your contribution. He stops paying you and you still go to work. Why? Because you don’t need the money; you love your job and the contribution it enables you to make to the employer or society at large that you are willing to work for free.

Is this impossible? You would think so, but there are people in the world who work for free. Why would they do such a thing? The answer is because they have so much money from their businesses and investments that they find fulfillment in their lives by offering their services for free. It is when you reach such a point that you come to appreciate what service means. It is only when you are financially free that you truly serve others. As long as you work for money, you cannot serve people. When you don’t need money is the moment you really serve others.

Isn’t this something you can aspire to experiencing in your life? Do you truly want to be of service to your community or country? If the answer welling up on the inside of you is ‘Yes’, I encourage you to start your business soon.

A business is a powerful vehicle that can carry you from your current financial situation and state in life to the place where you are financially free. Then you can retire from working for money, and if you still want to work, you do so because you want to be a blessing to your employer, the community and the world.
