NEW ASSISTANT COMMISSIONERS INSTALLED

Police Commissioner, Gary Baki has officially install newly promoted Assistant Commissioners across various departments and post in the Royal PNG Constabulary.
The positions were deliberated by the Police Promotion Selection Board, seven of which are existing whilst six are either new or reclassified positions.
The commissioning took place at the Police Head Quarters, with 12 officers with the rank of Chief Superintendent promoted to Assistant Commissioners.
The newly promoted officers are Chief Superintendent Anthon Billie promoted to ACP New Guinea Islands; Chief Superintendent Peter Guinness to ACP Mamose; Tony Duwang to ACP Logistics; Chief Superintendent David Manning to ACP Operations; Joanne Clarkson to Deputy Chief of the Bougainville Police Service; Raphael Huafolo to ACP Crimes; Sylvester Kalaut to ACP NCD; Iven Lakatani to ACP HR; Nema Mondiai to ACP Highlands, Eastern Command; Donald Yamasombi to ACP Border Command; Naua Vanuawaru to ACP APEC and Chief Superintendent Jerry Frank to ACP Traffic.
Commissioner Baki challenged the Assistant Commissioners to maintain high standards in their new roles.
The Police Promotion Selection Board will reconvene in November to consider applications for promotion of Constables to the rank of Chief Superintendent
