Police have yet to complete investigations into the murder of PNGs first chief aircraft engineer Lapan Nason three months after his death.
The main suspect is Jiwaka businessman Justin Parker who's charged with wilful murder and detained at Bomana Prison.
The Waigani Committal Court this morning adjourned the matter to October 2nd to allow police to finalize their investigation.
Parker was supposed to appear in person for mention, however the prison van used for transporting the accused court had faced mechanical problems.
Parker's co-accused, also charged with the death will appear in court next month.
Late Nason from New Ireland and in his mid-fifties, was alleged to have died from injuries suffered at the hands of Parker after a fight in June.
