PNG Garamuts qualify for Under 19 2014 World Cup

Papua New Guinea has secured a fourth consecutive Under 19 World Cup appearance.

The Garamuts qualified for the 2014 World Cup in Dubai after defeating Vanuatu in the East Asia Pacific final in Brisbane yesterday.

A dominant bowling performance from PNG was enough to secure a 45 run win, despite Vanuatu sending a scare through the tournament favourites earlier in the day.

Captain Dogodo Bau says they worked really hard to win the game struggling with the batting a little bit but the bowlers pulled them through.
