Toua lifts silver

PNG’s rising star and the next pocket dynamo Mea Toua has just won silver in the womens 48 kg category this morning at the Oceania Weightlifting Championships in Fiji which started yesterday.
She lifted a total of 150kg in this category falling short to Australian lifter Erika Yamasaki who took out the Gold. Fiji Seruwaia Malani settled for bronze.
Morea Baru will be competing this afternoon at 2pm in the 62kg men’s category while Fred Oala for 69kg tomorrow.
The weightlifting championships is the final qualification for the RIO Olympics
