Staff Reporter 9/01/2015 | |
Churches in the country have been urged to respect each other's faith and work together in the community.
The Deputy Prime Minister, says the Government needs churches to help with the spiritual and physical development of the people, and they should not fight each other.
Leo Dion's appeal follows an incident in Lae, where a Catholic Bishop was stoned because he was trying to stop some street preachers making allegations against the Catholic Church.
Mr. Dion says people should not be spreading unfounded rumors about other faiths, condemning the street preacher who made allegations about the head of the Catholic Church - the Pope.
