Hunters finish 6th in Instrust Super Cup Competition

The SP PNG Hunters end their inaugural Intrust Super Cup competition season on sixth place today.

All hopes for a lucky return to the top five were dashed when Tweed Heads Seagulls pulled off a narrow win against Mackay Cutters 26-22 this afternoon.

The Hunters needed the Cutters to beat Seagulls by 12 points or more to make the finals.

Racking up 33 competition points for the year, the Hunters registered 14 wins, 1 draw, and 9 losses to.

Hunters conceded 648 points against them and scored 557 points which left them with a point for and against of 91.

The top five teams for the finals are: Northern Pride (44), East Tigers (37), Wynnum Manly Seagulls (36), Ipswich Jets (34) and the Tweed Heads Seagulls (33).
