Bomb disturbs Education Results in Bougainville

A local Catholic Priest from HANGAN village on Buka island Bougainville  has blamed communities that gamble called "Bomb" as disturbing school students.

FR.MOKELA made these comments at the Holy Family Day celebrations at the Hangan Mass Centre yesterday.

He said that the BINGO or Housie money games must be stopped following education results from the Hangan students attending Hahela Primary School last year.

The FATHER said that from a total of EIGHTEEN Students only Three secured spaces in High Schools.

He said he would be talking to parents and citizens this week to find ways of reversing education results in future.

Father Mokela questioned the parents what these FIFTEEN dropouts will do in the village.

He said HANGAN wants more educated people and not illiterate people in the village. DawnFM/one PNG
