Kokopo residents invited to Yu Em Khax auditions

Despite the rainy weather, Mt Hagen residents had a great turn up for Digicel Play’s new talent show Yu Em Khax auditions on Saturday 19November.

With interesting performances from this pool of contestants, the top three have secured a spot in the semi-finals from heat number four, which will air this Saturday 26 November at 7pm on TVWAN Life.

Digicel Play’s newest home-grown show, Yu Em Khax is a reality television show showcasing PNG’s most talented entertainers.

Yu Em Khax Head Judge, Calextus Simeon, said it was great to see a variety of performers attend the Mt Hagen auditions.

“The talent in Hagen was of high quality and very interesting. We had the tough job of selecting three outstanding acts that will proceed into the semi-finals from this heat, which audiences at home will enjoy watching on TVWAN Life this Saturday night,” he said.

“We have been overwhelmed by the talent on show to date and look forward to uncovering more unique entertainers in Kokopo this weekend.”

Hagen had its own little surprise acts that got the judges enthralled. With two more locations to go in the lead up to the semi-finals, the Yu Em Khax crew is excited to see what hidden talent Kokopo contestants have.

This weekend, the show’s judges will be in Kokopo to select the next round of semi-finalists from 10am at the Gazelle International Hotel, which is free for residents to participate in.

Digicel Play Nico Meyer encouraged Kokopo locals to audition this Saturday. “Our judges will be in Kokopo this weekend and are on the hunt for the region’s most talented performers,” he said.

“It is free to audition for the show in Kokopo and will likely provide great opportunities for the selected talent, which is very exciting.

“It’s not every day you get the chance to perform in front of talent scouts in your home town so we hope Kokopo residents grasp this fantastic opportunity to show off their talents on Saturday.”

Nico said the premiere season of Yu Em Khax had generated wonderful feedback among Digicel Play subscribers who tune into the show each weekend.

“Digicel Play subscribers can follow the performers through auditions, heats and semi-finals every Saturday at 7pm on TVWAN Life,” he said.

“To ensure our viewers enjoy the airing of Yu Em Khax this Saturday, we encourage them to make sure their Digicel Play TV plans are up to date ahead of time.

“To subscribe, customers can simply visit selected Digicel stores, dial *515# or call 180 1515 to speak with our customer care team today.”

After this Saturday’s auditions in Kokopo, Yu Em Khax judges will host the final auditions for season one in Alotau on Saturday 3 December.
