Joyce Bay Widows Association to boost activities

The Joyce Bay community residents of the Moresby South Electorate in the National Capital District (NCD) had a reason to dance when the Joyce Bay Community Hall was officially opened this morning by the Minister for Sports and also Tourism and Culture and their electorate member Honourable Justin Tkatchenko.
Leader of the Joyce Bay Widows Association Mrs Patricia Sauwia when thanking the Moresby South MP said for years, Joyce Bay community was neglected but thanks to the collaborative efforts of the NCD Governor Powes Parkop and their electorate MP, the standards of their community are slowly lifted.
She says the newly installed facilities in the hall such as the kitchen will cater for the meetings and trainings for the women who are learning life skills such as cooking and sewing to sustain their livelihood in the city.
The Joyce Bay Widows Association is affiliated to the PNG Widows association which is now assisting them to have passbook accounts for their saving.
