Nurses in PNG get pay increase

At last there's some good news for nurses throughout Papua New Guinea. They will now be getting a raise in their domestic market allowances.
An agreement to that effect was signed between the Secretaries for the Department of Personnel Management, John Kali, and Health's Pascoe Kase, and the PNG Nurses association yesterday, averting a planned nationwide strike by the nurses.
Mr. Kali says the increase takes into consideration difficulties faced in recruiting nurses in the local market.
