PNG Public Service Commision launches awareness

A lot of our Public servants in the country do not know their rights within the public service management act or public service orders and also do not know how to access services from the Public Service Commission (PSC).
Educating public servants on their rights and how they can apply to PSC regarding their workplace grievances for review is very important, and that's the reason why the PSC today launched its Awareness Program which will be piloted in Jiwaka and Western Highlands in 2016.
one common thing that was shared by the PSC Chairman Dr Philip Kereme, Commissioner National Mr Apeo Futua Sione and Commissioner Provincial Mr Hansel Kakimo was for all Public Servants to know their rights, know the process and procedures on how their can utilise services of the PSC to attend to their needs.
PSC is here to ensure public servants are well looked after and now with the launching of its major awareness drive which will be rolled out next year the commission looks forward in educating all public servants from departmental heads down to normal staff about their roles and responsibilities for a better public service in PNG.
